Michael is a passionate advisor focused on ensuring all the families and businesses he works with protect their assets with smart, educated and long-term strategies. He’s not only well versed in current tax law and associated wise accounting procedures, but also is a respected financial planner, holding Series 6, 63 and 65 registrations. He also received the prestigious Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning.
He believes asset accumulation is best done in tandem with big-picture tax planning strategies. Of course, everything you do with your money affects your overall financial security, which is why he’s also dedicated himself to finding the best ancillary providers in the Roanoke area to refer clients to as they need support in areas beyond his expertise. This includes, legal, insurance, lending, marketing and more. He’s built a loose team of professionals who believe in offering excellence and communicate as appropriate when developing comprehensive planning strategies that make sense for the short and long term.
Michael was a top advisor, winning multiple awards, at a national financial services company before he founded 360 Financial Solutions and 360 Tax Solutions. He expanded from financial planning to comprehensive tax, bookkeeping and accounting services for individuals and business owners after realizing his clients needed a better solution than they could find in the area for documentation and reporting of income and expenses. Tax minimization strategies didn’t seem to be something most other providers offered.
Michael is an Iraqi Freedom War Veteran who was selected as the Roanoke Small Business Veteran of the Year in 2017. He’s a Dave Ramsey ELP. As President of the Brambleton Area Business Association, he’s brought this organization from obscurity to community stalwart with community leaders in economic development, law enforcement and business owners viewing the monthly meetings as must-attend events. Jeremy is an approved Enrolled Agent (EA), which makes him a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This means he’s legally authorized to represent you before the IRS for tax issues including audits, collections and appeals. Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential awarded by the IRS and is recognized across all 50 U.S. states. There are only 53,000 credentialed EA in the nation. Jeremy belongs to an elite segment of the country’s financial professionals.
Jeremy is a great compliment to Michael. He is here to help with your business needs and any IRS tax issue you may run across. He’s represented people in front of the IRS with a wide array of issues, including owing large sums, and has successfully brought those numbers to a manageable amount.
Lisa Edwards, EA
Senior Tax Preparer
Lisa has been an important part of the team with a vast array of knowledge in many areas. She recently passed her third part of the Enrolled Agent test! Lisa’s bright personality makes her easy to talk to and understand. She has the unique talent of explaining problems in an easy to understand manner. Lisa is here to help with difficult tax questions and preparation of even the most difficult return. Nothing is too big or small for her. Don’t hesitate to reach out with your concerns.
Alice came to us from managing an H&R Block office. This is her second season with the firm helping during tax season. She helps with many individual returns. Corporation returns are her favorite. Tim has been a part of “The Tax Man” for 6 years, helping during tax season. Tim has helped with individual tax returns, small businesses including sole proprietors and farms. As a business owner himself outside of tax season, he connects well with many of the clients he has helped throughout the years. If you’re lucky enough to work with Tim, you’ll quickly pick up that he likes to make you laugh and smile. It’s not uncommon to hear he made the process fun!
Seasonal Tax Preparer
Vivian has been a tax preparer for over 30 years. She brings incredible knowledge to the office, especially with the clients in the retirement phase of their life. She prepares the majority of the “drop off” tax returns and Michael’s investment client tax returns. Vivian stays constantly up-to-date with tax codes in her aim to reduce every client’s tax burden.

John is a Rockstar when it comes to your back-office business concerns. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to sales, litter and personal property taxes. We’ve created a unique niche helping convenience stores with their cigarette, gas and lottery tax. This has transitioned well to other business industries. John is also your go-to man for all of your payroll and business license set up needs.
